Andy Wood studied painting at Croyden & Newport Colleges of Art.  His paintings in watercolour, oil & acrylic can be described simply as seascapes or landscapes some with buildings and people. This description may sound mundane , prosaic even, however the pictures are anything but.  The artist's choice of subject, point of veiw and treatment is idiosyncratic.  The finished works are highly deailed and realistic wih a fine attention to detail. Tightly structured with a strong sense of design many of his paintings have a stubtly implied narrative.
