Large Dry-point etching "Speilplatz" by Paul Paeschke c1910. A Busy childs playground scen from the Friedrichshain district of Berlin.

Paeschke was a painter and graphic artist based in Berlin. Initially trained as a drawing teacher.  He then studied, after receiving the Teachers Exam, from 1900-06 at the Berlin Academy under Otto Brausewetter and George Ludwig Meyn, and finally master student of Karl Koepping.  From 1905 he took part in the large Berlin Art Exhibition.  He also went on study trips to Paris, Italy, Spain and England.  Between 1914 & 1919 he volunteered in World War 1.

A succesful career resulted in representation of his work in numerous museums including the copper engraving cabinets in Berlin, Dresden, Munich and Strasbourg. He was also a member of the Berlin Artists' Association.
